Electrolysis is permanent hair removal. Regardless of the cause — heredity, metabolic, or hormonal conditions — electrolysis will permanently remove unwanted hair.

Electrolysis is the only hair removal method approved by the FDA for permanent removal of unwanted hair. As the hair is treated, regrowth is prevented rather than just removed temporarily. Only electrolysis provides both hair removal and hair elimination.

Electrolysis is effective for all skin types, hair types, skin colors, hair colors, and areas of the body.

Electrolysis is the actual process of removing hair using electricity.

In electrolysis, a qualified professional called an Electrologist slides a hair-thin, solid metal probe into each hair follicle without puncturing the skin (when inserted properly). Electricity is delivered to the follicle through the probe, which causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs, either through the formation of caustic sodium hydroxide (the galvanic method), overheating (thermolysis), or both (the blend method). Which method will be used will be determined by the Electrologist based on what area they are treating and your comfort level. All of this is explained during the consultation.

The Blend Method is our preferred method, Flash Thermolysis and Thermolysis is also offered.  Your electrolysis treatment plan will be custom tailored to meet your needs.

What to know before your consultation

• It is recommended that you stop any tweezing & waxing prior to your consultation.

• You will need to have several days of hair growth to be accessed during the consultation. Since some people’s hair grows faster than others, this will vary from person to person. It is recommended you have at least one quarter inch of growth but no more than 1.5 inches

• Shaving and/or snipping with scissors is ok as long as it is not too short on the day of your appointments.

• Avoid caffeine in the hours prior to your appointment, it can make you more sensitive to discomfort

• Some people seem to find the treatment less intense if they take an over the counter pain medication

• Topical OTC lidocaine is sold in office should you find you need this.

• For women, if you are near to your cycle, the treatment can be more intense than normal.

What to expect during your consultation appointment

• Complete a intake form including health history including medication you are taking which can have an impact on your treatments

• Explanation of the Electrolysis process and how it works with the hair anatomy and growth cycles

• A examination of the area to be treated will be conducted to provide an estimate of how much time you will need per session

• A sample treatment will be conducted for you to experience what Electrolysis feels like

• You will be given a recommended treatment plan

• Explanation of post treatment skincare

• If time allows, you may have your first treatment

• For assessment purposes, please abstain from all hair removal methods prior to your appointment. A few days of growth is necessary to determine appointment length estimation.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice of are subject to a cancellation fee amounting to the cost of the scheduled service. Clients who miss their appointment without giving 24 hour prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service

We recognize that time of our clients is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time
